Empowering You To Travel Fearlessly With Your Baby or Toddler

Welcome to my chaotic corner of the internet, where family adventures are massive, the tantrums are inevitable, and surviving on cold coffee is just part of the job.

I’m Claudia – a chronic overpacker and travel-obsessed mama to my wild-haired little tornado who’s collected passport stamps faster than most people collect Tesco Clubcard points. Twelve countries before his first birthday. (Yes, TWELVE. No, I haven’t slept properly since 2023).

We’ve zigzagged through India’s colourful streets, hunted for shade in Zanzibar while Roman discovered sand tastes disgusting, and yes, we’ve done a safari in South Africa (where I spent the entire time paranoid he’d launch his cup at a lion).

Travelling with babies and toddlers is bloody hard.

I’m not here to tell you it isn’t or pretend I’ve cracked some secret code (I haven’t). I’m here to prove that even when it feels impossible, you can do this.

Whether you’re about to take your first flight with a newborn or you’re already a seasoned pro at changing nappies in airplane bathrooms the size of a shoebox, I’m here for it. For the Instagram-worthy moments, the “why are they screaming NOW” moments”, the moments where everything’s on fire and we’re all just pretending it’s fine.

This is the messy, unfiltered, “why did we think this was a good idea” reality of travelling with kids. Welcome!

Join 1,000+ parents getting my tried-and-tested travel hacks, stress free packing lists, toddler flight survival strategies, and the sanity-saving secrets that make travelling with kids actually enjoyable.

Baby in sun exploring sandy beach

After an amazing year of maternity leave, I hit that wall so many mums know too well. You know the one.

Who even am I anymore?
What am I supposed to be doing with my life now?

That’s how Roman Roams The World came to life.

I had a brain full of baby travel tips, a phone absolutely bursting with photos proving that adventure after kids is 100% possible (just significantly messier), plus I needed something that was mine. Something to help me find me again in the chaos of early motherhood.

And I have a feeling you might be feeling the same way.

I used to think family travel meant perfect Instagram families in linen

You know the ones. Matching neutral outfits. Mums looking immaculate. Kids who apparently enjoy long-haul flights. Zero visible stress.

Ha! Yeah, that’s not us.

We are not those people. Family travel is absolutely nothing going right but also Roman laughing so hard at absolutely nothing that I forget I’m currently living my personal hell.

Motherhood really turns you inside out, doesn’t it? We’re not the same women we were before having kids.

But we’re so much stronger than we ever knew. If you’re feeling a bit lost in the endless cycle of nappies, meal prep, and bedtime battles, I want this blog to be your wake-up call. Start something TODAY.

Start planning that trip. Start the business idea you’ve been sitting on. Start that hobby you keep putting off. Start anything that makes you feel like YOU again.

Just. Start.

What you’ll find here

If you’re ready to embrace the beautiful chaos, laugh at the disasters, and discover that travelling with kids is actually the most incredible thing you’ll ever do (even when it feels like torture), then welcome home.

Subscribe to Roman Roams The World for honest stories, practical baby travel tips, and a little bit of real-life inspiration to keep you moving forward.

Let’s celebrate the messy, magical, completely mental journey of motherhood, travel, and figuring out who the hell we are now.

Because sometimes? The best way to find yourself is to just start roaming.

With love,
